Underfloor Heating - Solar Thermal Energy
Interplast takes a step forward in the sector of solar support for underfloor heating and offers an integrated package for the use of solar energy in heating spaces!
The Interplast Green Line system easily achieves the low temperatures required for the operation of underfloor heating. The system’s logic relies on the fact that the returning water of the underfloor heating must be reheated for approximately 5oC and only up to 45oC. By use of selective solar panels, a hot water storage tank and the appropriate automatic system checks, the sun, a clean and inexhaustible energy source, can achieve this thus offering further significant cost savings.
The most important advantages one enjoys when installing solar underfloor heating are:
The solar system that supports the underfloor heating is installed and designed for giving us hot water both in the summer and the winter. In this way, even in the coldest days with minimum sunshine, we can supply the heating system with hot water and save energy.
In case the water in the solar system is colder than we want it, we can set it to stop water circulation when it reaches the desired temperature.
The solar heating system includes all those devices necessary for its automatic operation.
It only needs a periodic check.
It has a 2.0 m2 surface with a titanium dioxide coating. Its absorber is manufactured from a single 0.20 mm thick sheet, 75% heavier than common absorbers. In this way, the absorption rate of the solar panel approaches 95% of incident solar radiation.
It includes a circulator for the circulation of the panel’s water in the boiler and two thermometers for checking the temperature of the solar panel's flow and return water.
For controlling the heating system and the plumbing system’s hot water from the solar panels. Its sensors allow it to regulate the temperature of the storage tank, as well as the start up of the secondary energy source (oil boiler, heat pump, etc.).
It operates as an inertia tank for heating and has a smaller tank incorporated inside it for producing the plumbing system’s hot water. The tank has a powerful polyurethane insulation and a magnesium rod for anodic protection. The liquid glaze method is used in its manufacture, increasing the maximum operation temperature to 95oC and not 60oC which is the case for Teflon coated tanks.
