From Thrace for the entire world, the Inteplast Green Line range
The new Interplast Green Line product range, which is based on the utilization of Renewable Energy Sources, was presented by the management of the Interplast group in the Industrial Area of Komotini, where the company’s large production unit is located.
During a meeting between Thrace journalists and media and Interplast’s president and CEO Tasos Rizopoulos, executive vice-president Nikos Kyradis, Factory Manager in the Industrial Area of Komotini Stelios Koufopetros and Production Manager Kostas Voulgaridis, the latest initiatives of the company were announced.
“We selected Komotini” Mr. Rizopoulos underlined "because I believe that the company's heart, its productive tissue, beats here. For this reason we select Komotini for all of our company’s important moments, such as its two big Board of Directors meetings and the two large meetings of the sales sector”. He added: “Interplast chooses to bring thermal plumbing technicians, installers and technicians to Komotini adding a special note to the local economy, as 600 technicians from all places in Greece have already visited the city of Komotini".
Mr. Rizopoulos emphasized that the utilization of renewable energy sources, such as geothermal and solar energy, is now one of the group's priorities. In addition, emphasis on quality and the production of products that are environmentally friendly resulted in making it the "only Greek company that produces plastic pipes listed in the official GREENPEACE list”, as he stated.
Interplast Green Line Line is a range of products based on the utilization of renewable energy sources, such a geothermal and solar energy, making use of the company’s long experience in underfloor heating and cooling. The new range at the same time achieves minimum operating costs, reduction in the emission of pollutants, and sends a message of awareness about the planet and respect for the demands of consumers. And these products place emphasis on quality. “Every six months”, Mr. Rizopoulos noted “inspectors from the institutes arrive and test the production and our storehouses and constantly discover the high quality level of the products and raw materials we use, for which we have won more than 25 international certifications by foreign institutes”.
Referring to the financial crisis, the president and CEO of Inteplast stressed that the company manages the crisis through two main actions. The first is the creation of new products adapted to the reality of the new era, such as the Interplast Green Line range. The second is to strengthen the export orientation of the company, as its export sales constitute approximately 20% of turnover. “The coming two years” he assessed “shall not be the easiest. What every businessman needs to do in such cases is to roll up his sleeves and work hard”. He noted in fact that he, himself, has visited 20 countries in the past 4 months, in order to promote the export sector of Interplast. And he added: “I believe that these moves will bring about good results for the company as well, preserving the jobs of the employees and adding new ones. I must underline that our aim is development, and not to stay in the current status”.
He also observed that the company has close links with Thrace, as the Komotini unit, from having 6 workers in 1998 has now reached 66, signaling the rapid growth of Interplast, which started with a turnover of 2-2.5 million euros and it has now reached 23 million. Today Interplast has secured a leading position in the domestic market in the sale of plastic pipes and fittings for plumbing and heating installation in buildings. At the same time, Interplast’s Greek pipes are placing the “Made in Greece” label inside buildings across 30 countries.

Increased resistance and protection with the guarantee of an Atlas!
Monday 19/1/2009 was the date that the polypropylene (PP) sewerage pipes and fittings for buildings were launched onto the market under the trade name ATLAS-PLUS, which completed the 100mm range.
The 100mm range was deemed necessary in order to allow the installation of polypropylene pipes throughout the entire building.
Interplast, despite the increased cost of the investment, manufactured 25 moulds for the production of the polypropylene 100mm fittings, believing that polypropylene is the most suitable material for building sewerage installations.
This is confirmed of course by its universal use in Northern European countries, and by the fact that non profit organizations such as Greenpeace recommend it as a material.
The new range of sewerage pipes by Interplast is characterized by the reinforced protection of an… Atlas.
These are the ATLAS-PLUS polypropylene sewerage pipes and fittings, which offer the guarantee of quality and safer operation through the addition of the elastic ring.
This elastic ring on the ATLAS-PLUS pipes and fittings is the ideal tool for professionals and a safety "shield” for consumers.
Interplast believes that its new introduction into the market will meet with a positive reception by all its associates throughout Greece.
