COMPANY - History
 
1998: Founding of Interplast, mainly engaged in manufacture of plastic pipes and fittings for use in water supply and heating systems Production of Como pex, Como flex pipes and the Corrugated Conduit.
   
1999: Award of the first ISO 9002 quality assurance certification. Production of Aqua plus pipes and fittings.
   
2000: Award of German SKZ certificate for mechanical strength of PEX and PP-R pipes.

Acquisition of SOLPLAST. Interplast expanded its activities in southern Greece, supplementing its range of products with PVC pipes and fittings for sewerage systems.

At the same time it becomes the first company of the plastic pipes sector to participate in the International Mostra Convegno fair in Milan, revealing its export orientation.
   
2001: Award of British WRAS-NSF certificate for suitability of PEX, PP-R and PE pipes for drinking water.
   
2002: Acquisition of ELVIOM, a company with a long history in the production of brass fittings, which was founded in 1954 and was the first company of the sector to participate in the ISH international fair in Germany in 1973. Interplast completes its product range by manufacturing integrated water supply, heating and sewerage systems for new buildings. At the same time, it expands its export activity, making good use of the existing ELVIOM customer base abroad.
   
2003: Award of Spanish AENOR certificate for mechanical strength of PEX and PP-R pipes. Merger with subsidiary SOLPLAST, which now operates as a branch operation of Interplast in Athens.
   
2004: Interplast completes its participation in a large number of Olympic projects, such as the Olympic Village and a large number of hotels renovated in Athens, in view of the upcoming Olympic Games, such as the historical Hotel Grande Bretagne.
   
2005: The company participates in the sector’s greatest trade fair in the Middle East, the BIG 5 in Dubai.
   
2006: Purchase of new laboratory equipment. The laboratory in Komotini becomes one of the most advanced laboratories in Europe.
   
2007: Award of DVGW German certificate for the suitability of PP-R pipes for drinking water.

Award of CSA Canadian certificate for mechanical strength of PEX pipes.
   
2008: Completion of the biggest investment in Interplast’s history, for 8 million EUR, related to the extension of buildings and facilities and the purchase of mechanical equipment for the production of Polypropylene sewage pipes and fittings.

Interplast becomes the only Greek manufacturer of plastic pipes that is included in Greenpeace’s green living guide.
   
2009: Markets the new range of Polypropylene sewage pipes and fittings under the trade name Atlas plus.
