CERTIFICATIONS

Interplast pipes and fittings meet and exceed the requirements set by European
EN standards, internationally accepted German DIN, Spanish UNE, British BS
standards and American ASTM standards. As a result, pipes and fittings never
show any deviation from the specifications in the regular biannual tests carried
out by official institutes on random samples from production and the warehouse.
The outcome of all the above is that Interplast pipes and fittings are
certified by the following organizations, having been awarded over 25
certifications to date.
TUV Germany for the Quality Assurance System according to EN ISO
9001:2008.
SKZ Germany for physical and mechanical properties of PE-X, PE-MDX,
PE-RT, PB, PP-H and
PP-R pipes. Also PP-H sewerage pipes have a
non-combustibility certification. This comprises checking of pipe and fittings
dimensions, measurement of cross-linking degree for PEX pipes, microscopic
homogenisation check, impact tests, pressure tests in conjunction with different
temperatures and linear expansion test.
SKZ Germany for physical and mechanical properties of PP-R
fittings.
DVGW Germany for the suitability of PP-R pipes for drinking water.
This comprises tests at 20° C and 60° C for taste, odor, development of
microorganisms, extraction of substances and metals dangerous for public health
(cadmium, arsenic etc.).
AENOR Spain for physical and mechanical properties of PEX and
PPR pipes.
CSA Canada for physical and mechanical properties of PE-X pipes,
as well as their suitability for drinking water.
GOST Russia for physical and mechanical properties of PE-X, PP-R, PP-R
with aluminium pipes and of brass fittings, as well as their suitability for
drinking water.
SEPRO Ukraine for physical and mechanical properties of PE-X, PP-R,
PP-R with aluminium, PP-H pipes and of brass fittings.
ZIK Croatia for physical and mechanical properties of PE-X, PP-R, PP-R
with aluminium pipes as well as their suitability for drinking water.
MPA-NRW Germany for oxygen diffusion of Como-pex and Como-Floor Oxygen
Barrier pipes.
WRAS-NSF Great Britain, for the suitability of PE, PEX and PP-R
pipes for drinking water.
In addition to the above, the pipes are periodically tested in the laboratories
of ELOT (Greek Standardization Organization) for mechanical strength and
by the General Chemical State Laboratory for their suitability for
drinking water.
